When the war broke out on October 7, Israel was poorly prepared for its intensity and duration.
It all started with boots…a request was received from a friend to donate money to purchase special boots for reserve soldiers who were fighting in Gaza.

MSgt. (Res) Dr. Zechariah Pesach Haber, 32, HY”D, fell in Gaza on January 16th (6 Shevat, 5784), 2024. when an RPG missile hit his tank. He felt very close with his comrades in the IDF Reserves. He gave up his position as a tank commander, and instead became a loader, so that he would be on a par with his tankmates.
After Zechariah fell, The Double Triangle Foundation was founded in his memory to continue supplying equipment to Reserve soldiers, of which Zechariah was a part. The Foundation continually receives requests from all Miluim (Reserve) units in the army for helmets, several types of vests with ceramic plates, boots, outerwear, flame retardant uniforms, night vision glasses, medical supplies, and more. The Double Triangle Foundation makes certain that it provides the Reserve soldiers with the latest and safest equipment, regardless of cost.
The Foundation also provides help to families of wounded and fallen Miluim soldiers as needed.
The Foundation helps Reserve soldiers returning from the battlefield who may have PTSD, by assisting them in defraying the cost of therapy,
The Foundation is working with a company that trains and provides service dogs to Reserve soldiers with PTSD, to help defray the cost of these dogs.
The administrators of the Double Triangle Foundation do not take a salary. They pay all operating expenses from their personal funds; donations are used entirely for the purposes for which the Foundation was founded.
The Double Triangle Foundation is a 501C-3 charity. All donors receive a receipt to be used for US tax purposes. The administrators of the Foundation are in the process of establishing a parallel charity in Israel, to enable donors who donate in Israeli currency to receive a receipt for Israeli tax purposes.
